OTTAWA, Canada,  July 20th, 2010  – Combat Sports, a rapidly growing  composite sporting goods company based in Ottawa, ON  announced today the hiring of  former Stanley Cup Champion  (1994 NY Rangers)  Stephane Matteau.     

Matteau, a 15 year NHL veteran is best known for his overtime winning goal in game seven of the 1994 Conference Finals against the New Jersey Devils which gave NY a birth in the Stanley Cup final. NY would eventually go on as Cup Champions.  Matteau also had stops in Calgary, Chicago, New York, St Louis, San Jose and Florida.  Matteau will join Combat Hockey's Pro Sales Department as a Pro Sales Representative and will be instrumental in helping the company gain traction at the Pro Hockey level with his main focus being on the National Hockey League.   In addition to his Sales Role, Matteau will also join Combat's growing Product Advisory Board, providing input both on and off the ice with regards to the design process of all new Combat Hockey products.
