Ottawa. Combat Sports Inc. announced today that they have reached an agreement with team Air Transat, a three time National Champion at the elite Slowpitch level in Canada. The agreement will see Air Transat players swing Combat products exclusively through the 2009 season. "We are very excited to partner with Air Transat, they are one of the top teams in Canada and will provide excellent exposure for our brand on a National basis" says Dave McNally, VP of Marketing for Combat Canada. Air Transat is the latest on an impressive list of signings for Combat Sports over the past four months. "The recent signings along with the success of Dan Smith/Team Combat as World Champions for 2008 in the US further reinforces that Combat has emerged as the most technologically advanced, performance driven product on the market today and the choice of the top slowpitch players on the planet", say McNally.

In addition to the exclusive agreement on Combat product, the agreement will also see a name change for Air Transat to include the Combat name. The team will now be known as Air Transat/Team Combat moving forward.

Team AirTransat celebrated their 10th anniversary this past summer. Currently across Canada and parts of the United States, this passionate band of Softball enthusiasts succeeded in several worthy exploits of mention: during their 8 participations in the Canadian Softball Championships they received 7 medals, two of which were gold. They are also three time Canadian Champions of the SPN Federation. Two time finalists of the NSA Championships. They are the Quebec Provincial Softball Champions for 6 years running. At the international level, team AirTransat has had some major accomplishments as well: in Connecticut they were the Firecracker Classic USSSA champions, in New Hampshire they became the champions of the biggest tournament, "The Beast of the East" championship. They ranked 3rd in the prestigious Fireman’s tournament in Minnesota and twice team AirTransat were amongst the finalist during the Disney Slam in Orlando Florida. In addition they have also participated in many different world championships. Last but not least, they have won the extremely popular "Classic Pif" slow pitch championship. Our organization, which is one of class and professionals, was honored at the 2005 Quebec Meritas Softball Gala as the organization of the year. Nevertheless, a little summary of a beautiful story about a team of people devoted to their sport!

Yours in Slowpitch,
Stephane Chapdelaine
